Autumn

Mowing and raking the Memorial Garden.
Raking off and removing the "hay" helps to reduce the fertility of the soil, encouraging wildflowers rather than grass and nettles.
Lunch break under the Monk Oak on the lovely new bench.
Removing weed from one of the ponds in the Ashing Lane Nature Reserve. This annual task improves the aeration of the water and thus the environment for both flora and fauna. The specialist rake is a crome.
